Hair Fall

This is one of the major problems i am facing in Pcos. I had dandruff for around 8months with hair fall. I tried to control my hair fall with different shampoos but didn’t help as such. My hairs were very thick and I was proud for it. But when i look to the mirror now it seems I have lost more than half of hair which I used to have one year back. I can see my scalp as hairs are falling very strongly. Whenever I apply oil on my hair oh what can I say...? My hair fall increases twice. I have searched for any homemade solutions but didn’t have any such cure. I have an oily scalp and every alternate day i need to wash my hair. If at all I come up with any solutions for hair fall will post it...

Doctor prescribed me a oral conceptrative pills if 21days for 3mnths. Finally this was my last course. Hope next time I get my periods within the circulating date. This time she has prescribed me only vitamins For that i just need to take care of my diet and schedule.

Still with 52kg = (

Hey everybody. I am happy and a bit upset as I got my periods before the date cycle without intake of pills and sad as i am stuck with 52kg. I know in my last blog I had made a promise to myself that I will start with exercise and walk to lose weight but didn’t even try it once. I was busy with my daily schedule and didn’t care to go out for a walk. On top of that I started having outside food. That’s really bad thing from my side. Early I used to take care of intake of food very much, but these days I hang out a lot so because of that I need to eat something. But now finally I have decided to make a chart to keep a track on my consuming of food.

Finally found peace

I cannot describe this in words as its a very different feeling. After Saturday when i went for Ganesh fest I feel my inner joy has increased twice. Finally I feel I am blessed with divine energy of Ganeshji. As long back i used to console myself that I am happy but due to this pcos issues I was sad always. But these days i do not need to think about being happy or finding a reason to be happy. My frustrations and loneliness are no more within me. Yeah but still sometimes I get angry and cannot control my anger. (I know that is bad, but I am sure very soon even that will b no more.) Now I do not feel myself surrounded by negative vibrations as I used to feel way back.

Busy Week

Hi... I had promised myself to take care of my health and start doing an exercise but I couldn’t keep my words. I had a very busy schedule this week. It was because of the festival going on here I had to visit many of my friends place. I really had a great time but one bad thing about it was having outside food. Due to this again next week I really have to work hard to lose some weight. Hopefully next week I will really do..Apart all this at-least my mind is stable by now and no more negative thinking. I am happy for that.

Why do i need to know about Carbohydrates?

Select carbohydrate foods wisely. Carbohydrates come under two categories one is which contain vegetables, fruits, sprouts, cereals and pulses. Second which contain ice cream, cookies, fruit juice, cakes, coke, sodas, candies and sweets. Here women diagnosed with PCOS should choose low carbohydrates foods as carbohydrates increases blood sugar. So by choosing low carbohydrate food such as fresh vegetables, fruits, sprouts and cereals will help in maintain the sugar level. We cannot avoid carbohydrate completely as it provides nutrients, but it can be controlled by keeping a track on the food we consume
I have stopped consuming carbohydrates foods such as ice cream, cookies, fruit juice, cakes, coke, sodas, candies and sweets and it helped me a lot. My doctor has said me to avoid as these foods. As if you consume these foods it increases the sugar level in our body and which leads to diabetics. So think before consuming these foods as it’s not good for health. So try to choose high–fibre, low–sugar carbohydrate foods most of the time.

Time to awake

From past few months I avoided all the things which I knew was not good as I am diagnosed with pcos still I continue with my routine and didn’t care for what I was doing. I started having all fry items, once a week I had outside food, and when I visited my uncle’s place I had a complete junk food which was not good for my body. And apart all this i didn’t care about my weight. From past 4months I am still 55kg. Now this is not good. Though my doctor had advice me to exercise or at least walk I didn’t take it seriously. And see now where I stand. My weight is still the same and in some parts of my body it seems like fat is being collected such as thighs, hands, cheeks. There are loads of fats in my waist line. Due to this it’s hard for me to wear many tops and t-shirts as it’s embarrassing. I was very lazy to exercise... But now finally I am awake and can see what wrong things I am doing with my body. I have to stop it before it’s too late. From now on I will surely take care of my body and will keep a track on the foods I am consuming and doing exercise. Within six months my goal is to reduce the weight from 55kg to 48kg. That is 7kg. For this I will keep a plan a fitness schedule so that exercising becomes part of my weekly routine. After six months I will surely lose my weight. Now let’s start with today...

Recommendations

To maintain Pcos following steps should be undertaken.

1. Try to lose weight if overweight along with pcos.

2. In Pcos treatment plan, try to select low glycemic index food.

3. Avoid carbohydrates that create more hunger (such as sugary foods)

4. Drink at least 8 glass of water every day.

5. Limit food which are highly saturated and trans fats. (such as milk diary, fired foods, butter)

6. Increase the immunity by consuming fruits and vegetables.




These are few steps with which you can control over pcos

Symptoms Of PCOD

Let me tell you the most important thing during this six months were the symptoms which were effecting my body..
The symptoms which i have are as follows :
1. Weakness
 
2. Facial Hair
 
3. Swelling on face, finger (for certain period of time say 2 to 3 days)
 
4. Lack of concentration
 
5. Frustration
 
6. Depression
 
7. Gaining weight
 
8. Collection of fat on different parts of body (like tummy or legs)

Unforgettable six months

For six months i used to take tablets and get my periods. But then i decided to switch to other doctor and went to a gynecologist. She told me to take ultrasound (sonography) and then looking at my reports she prescribed me some tablets. She didn't say anything about what i have and why i didn't got my periods. She just advice me to avoid junk food and fry items. She just told it was an hormonal imbalance. But within two days of consuming those tablets i got side effects. My stomach part had red patches and my head, ears, nose, eyes used to pain all day. My mom consulted other doctor where she was taking her treatment. From there i came to know what is inside me PCOS . Then i searched on net about it but i was still not serious about what i got and what it can do if i do not take a proper care.

My first day when i came to know about pcos

                                                              Today after one year i came to know many things about pcos which i can share with you all. Pcos (Polycystic ovary syndrome) is not so well known among young girls who are in school or college. I came to know about this last year when my periods were irregular. And after certain months my periods got stopped. I had consulted a family doctor who used to give me tablets for my periods. But with help of those tablets my periods used to last only for 2 to 3days. I was not so tensed about this thing as i hardly knew that, by not getting periods it will creates many problems in life for a girl.
I am 21year old completed my graduation last year. For three years of my college life was full of fun. I always used to have junk food. Due to this habit of having junk food my habit of having healthy n homemade food was out of my league. Fry items, pizza, burger, soda, cold beverage were like god to me. I had never thought in my dream that it would create such a big problem to me.
